Physiotherapists

The Karen Surgery physiotherapy team is taking extra precautions to ensure your safety during the COVID 19 pandemic. You will be required to fill in a COVID19 Physiotherapy screening form before attending your appointment to ensure it is appropriate and safe for you and us to attend a face to face physiotherapy appointment. All therapy rooms are cleaned between each patient and all therapists will wear PPE while treating. Rooms are well ventilated during and between each appointment. However, it is important for our patients to understand that physiotherapy requires physical contact in an enclosed space and that does pose an increased risk of catching COVID 19. Please read the screening form carefully and notify your therapist and do not come in for your appointment if you have any COVID symptoms or if you have been in contact with a known or suspected COVID case.

If it is not appropriate for a face to face physiotherapy appointment, we do offer video consultations and your physiotherapist will discuss this with you.

Karen Surgery is a centre of excellence for physiotherapy. The four physiotherapists have diverse training and approaches, and a wealth of experience, in Kenya as well as Australia, Canada and the UK. Specialist areas of expertise are sports injuries - in both elite athletes and recreational players - and neuro-rehabilitation and paediatric physiotherapy.

Appointments with the physiotherapists are made either directly, or after referral from a doctor. Self-referred patients are offered a GP to provide medication management and to address any concomitant health needs, and a nutritionist may be included in the team, providing comprehensive treatment in one venue.
